The Open University has developed a platform called FutureLearn that offers free online courses from Universities and other organisations around the world.. The range is fantastic and covers many subjects from astronomy to forensic science to medicine… Go along and browse through the range of courses available now.

From 7th March there is a new series of two week courses run by the University of Leeds aimed at people starting a business. They are designed for those studying at school or college. Throughout the course you will join a community of online learners, providing an opportunity for interactive learning with other students both in the UK and internationally.

Welcome to this website which launches a collaborative approach to helping you tell your own stories to your communities, funders and customers. We all have our own stories to tell to a wide range of different people. There are a wide range of technologies and services that can help you do this but we don’t all have the skills or up-to-date knowledge to make the best of these.

We have brought together a wide range of skillsets and experience to share our ideas and highlight different services that can help you engage with technologies to build or improve your online presence. There is a big push from Government at the moment to encourage small businesses, particularly in the creative industries to become more digitally skilled. We can help you move forward and develop those skills.

We will be sharing information about various social networking tools and services that can help you get your message out effectively. We can provide services to help you identify your stakeholders, the information they need and the variety of ways that you can engage with them. We encourage you see how important it is to manage all the relationships with your different stakeholder groups, to target your messages appropriately and to develop a cyclical approach to engagement, feedback and evaluation.

If some of these terms feel alien to you we can help you to see how they have a key role to play in your relationships. We also emphasise that your digital stories have to be closely integrated with your face to face communications and interactions. Each feeds and supports the other.
