Multi-lingual site in gaelic and english for the gaelic arts agency in Stornaway Scotland.
The Gaelic Arts Agency wanted to redesign the Pròiseact nan Ealan website as part of broader customer engagement activities. The Agency based in Stornaway, Scotland aimed to expand their audience, and adopt new ways to engage that audience using their website and social media. The Agency aslready used the social media service – facebook, flickr and twitter so the website needed to incorporate these aspects. The website has both text based and graphic content so the use of photo galleries was an important element of the site. In addition to a blog feature the Agency needed space to publicise their funded projects and record the activities carried out by project members and the public. The most challenging aspect of the web design was the need to have a website in two languages – English and Gaelic. The new website was launched in August 2014. Staff were trained to update pages, posts, galleries and menus. Ongoing support ensures that the site is backed-up and maintened regularly.
