We are committed to ensuring that any websites established by our company are effectively managed and maintained. This includes regular checks in relation to security, performance and ongoing development.

Ongoing development of the site will require periodic review of the key functions of the site and identification of any appropriate new directions or developments.

We tend to focus on WordPress sites as these can be easy for day to day use by a wide range of users without technical knowledge (although we can offer other Content Management Systems (CMS).

Web design principles

  • simple, clean design that supports fast uploading time and an effective user experience in terms of navigation and reading
  • responsive so that the site works on a range of browsers and devices (including mobile devices),
  • use of WordPress themes that utilise standard WordPress features and allows for future theme changes with no loss of content or site structure
  • guidance notes/manual provided to enable non-technical staff to contribute to the site with minimum support
  • use of regularly updated, tried and tested plugins to add features (e.g. Wordfence Security, Yoast SEO plugin, BackUpWordPress)
  • regularly updated to maximise security
  • use of Google Analytics to track usage and identify use patterns
  • regular security and maintenance checks
  • back-up policy
  • enforcement of secure logins and passwords
  • a shared google document which outlines actions taken and serves as a record of work and progress with the site


We do not use complex technical language to make what we do seem more complicated.

Vital support

Please note that if you opt for a WordPress site you need to take out a support package at £35 per month. Not only will this provide regular backup and maintenance but it will ensure timely updates that will help to protect your site from hacking. It will also include minor changes as required by you. If you do not want to take this package, then we are not the web designers for you. We care about providing a good service.

  • regular back-ups
  • regular maintenance
  • ‘pro’ versions of some plugins which offer more advanced features
  • plug-in and theme updates within one day of updates
  • Google page shared with customer listing all changes made and updates, back-ups completed
  • Respond to minor change requests within three days of receipt
  • Post training support for staff adding new content
